Harley robert jay gourlay was born on 10th june 2005 at 12 mins past 12 midnight, he weighed 6lbs3oz, and was son to nicola and robert and brother to georgia skye who was 4 years old then.He was so beautiful an tiny and looked the image of his daddy!Harley was born healthy and discharged out of hospital that very same day, he was such a happy baby, he didnt cry much, georgia just addored him.When harley was 4 wks old we notticed his chest had sunk in and he was breathin from his tummy, we didnt hesitate and took him straight to the hospital, they run loads of tests on him and kept him in for 4 days.They let us home with still no answers to what could be wrong with him they said they needed to wait for some test results to come back.These were the hardest days ever, but finally they phoned and said the results wer back in and we could go straight up.This day we will never forget we were shaking, the docter told us harley had SMA, spinal muscular atrophy type 1, he had 4 to 5 months to live cos babies dont usually make it to there 1st birthday.I didnt hear much more she sed after that through the screams and the tears.Harley went down hill fast from that day, his organs give up 1 by 1 until he passed away on the 24th august 2005 at 1.20 pm in his daddys arms at home with all his family around, that day our hearts were broken foreverxx miss u so much son, u have a new baby brother now riely, who looks the image of u , just wished u could be here to play with him x Always in our hearts and minds, mommy,daddy, ur sister georgia and baby brother riely xx
